Quakerism is a faith of personal experience and direct communion with God, a faith of continuing revelation; and a faith of living our values in the secular world.

Montclair Quaker Meeting is a group with diverse backgrounds and beliefs, led to worship together by our common belief that there is “that of God” in everyone. Our weekly hour of worship is spent in rich and expectant silence, as we listen for the “Inward Light” to guide us. The Spirit may lead one or another worshiper to share a message which emerges from the silence. We have no creed and no minister. As Quakers, we strive to live by our values of peace, justice, equality, simplicity and care of our shared earth. As a community, we are seeking a deep and joyous spiritual life.

We hold our regular Meeting for Worship every First Day (Sunday) at 11 am. We have been enjoying a hybrid Meeting for Worship in-person and online by Zoom. If you would like to attend worship in person, the Meetinghouse is open with a ‘mask optional’ policy in place. Childcare is available during worship at the Meetinghouse, and our childcare providers continue to wear masks.  To obtain the weekly Zoom links and current status for in-person worship:

The main floor of Montclair Meeting (meeting room, library, classrooms and one bathroom) is wheelchair-accessible. The lower floor is not.

Seekers, a religious education group for adults which meets every Sunday at 9:30, continues to meet online. Use the same channels as above to find out more.
